Hey all you San Francisco Bay-Area photographers!
Join CALIBER this Saturday 10/31 for our first photowalk. We will meet at Powell & Market near the Cable Car turnaround at 3pm and head west up Market Street towards The Castro. Being that it is Halloween, we are sure to see The City and people of San Francisco at their finest.
Bring a DSLR, a point-and-shoot, or your film camera — and come join us. Everyone is welcome regardless of photography skill level. It will be a great time to learn , shoot, and hang out with other like-minded local photographers.

You probably already know, but in case you don’t… you can rent any in stock lenses for half price after 3 pm on Fridays at Gassers and then keep them all weekend.
I thought it was after 4pm? This is DEFINITELY a good thing. Sometimes I go in there on Friday and grab the 14mm f/2.8L. It is one of my favorite lenses, but at $2,000, I need to mow a few more lawns before I could ever call it my own. For $15 for a whole weekend, though, it can’t be beat. You can also rent cameras…a Hasselblad or a Leica for $15 for the whole weekend.
It is 3 pm but it looks like they have reduced the discount from 50% to 40% but that is still a crazy good deal. And yes, of course – cameras! And lighting equipment! And bears, oh my! Wait…
Please don’t make me be the only one in the group in a Halloween costume.

in Germany, Halloween isn`t that famous as it is in the United States, but since some years, there are parties and People go out.
Our equivalent is called “Fasnacht” or “Karneval”. I think its “Carnival” in english http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnival
