Thanks, it is hypnotizing. I wonder if the person who designed it had this in mind. I will always remember this pattern...I'm hypnotized with swirly eyes. Difficult to navigate after leaving Chevy's after a few drinks.

Running in Circles...I like it, you have some really cool shots. Kind of a side note, lately I've been listening to Sunny Day Real Estate again, maybe this had a subconscious effect?

I think I was on the six or seventh floor. The Hyatt is ideal for shots like this, because each floor has a balcony that overlooks the the floor below, like the inside of a pyramid.

Here is another shot I took in there that kind of illustrates what I mean to those who haven't been in this beast:

RAD!

Although a little freaky given that I posted this yesterday: "Running in Circles" http://photography.exkclamation.com/2009/10/26/running-in-circles/
...maybe there is something in the air making us think in patterns and circles? HA!

Ps. How high up were you to take this shot?

Thanks Mark. Dude in the white pants looks like he might be spitting some late 70s game at that lady, telling her about the HiFi in his van or something over a cup of coffee.

I read that as "hands" first and had a good laugh, imagining severed hands entombed in the cement. Then I saw "minds" and now I have an image of lost minds entombed in the tiles, which is a more sinister thought...happy Halloween muahahahaha!

Super great photo...
I always wonder how many brick-layers (tile-setters?) lost their minds while putting all of that down...
