Anyone who’s walked through Portsmouth Square in Chinatown during the day will recognize this game of cards. Played everywhere and anywhere a group of participants can prop up a cardboard box.
I’ve been under the impression that they were gambling. There’s usually a good sized crowd gathered around them as well, did you have to break in between the people to steal that shot?

I think there’s a certain finesse needed to take photographs there; no doubt because of the gambling. I’ve tried, but get shooed away.
