Car Wash.

Posted by – 11/09/2009

Inside the old abandoned Greyhound Bus facility on 7th Street is a car wash. Normally, the chain link fence to the compound is locked.

This time it wasn’t… that’s how I know there’s a car wash in the back. I never had a desire to tresspass— until I got my camera and now I’ve become slightly incorrigible. (At my age, ha ha.)

But you gotta get into places other people don’t know about to see the things no one else does.

This is Catherine. A beautiful, vivacious accomplice dressed in a corseted red silk dress. You can read her story here and see more of her photos here and in other places around the city.

  2. Merci Julie! I will never be able to express how your eye caught the uncertainty and the magic of my journey.
Anytime you need a French accent… or a glass of wine with foie gras, I will be here for you.

    I’M SO JEALOUS!!

I’m so jealous I was yelling. Sorry. But still. I’m so jealous. Also, I love wine and foie gras. And I am so happy for you. And so jealous.

Your first link says I don’t have permission to view it. Is this for everyone, or am I being singled out?
    Again?

I just checked the links and they appear to be working… perhaps it was a momentary glitch? I hope you’ll give it another try. Let me know if something is still wrong.

Julie, this is wonderful. I love photographs of people dressed inappropriately for a particular location, especially people who are over-dressed. This rocks.

  6. So, you’ve only become incorrigible recently?
O.k., I’ll have to take your word for it…
Love the contrast between the industrial mixed with the refined…
–I’ve gotta head over to I Live Here and see what’s up… Bet it’s something good!
