Lavar McBride, Switch Backside Five-O/Tailslide to Fakie, San Francisco.

If you skated anytime between 1992 to roughly 2002, then you’re most likely familiar with Lavar McBride and the profound impact he had on skateboarding.

As a teen, Lavar was light years ahead of his time and helped pave the way for what skateboarding is today.  My buddy Leland from 48Blocks.com said it best, “Lavar was putting out video parts at age 15 that were outshining grown men.”

Much respect to a true pioneer, innovator and legend in the skate game that still rips hard to this very day.
