Stuart Dixon generally shoots the city. Not afraid to employ extreme compositions and effects, he takes whatever light is offered to him and bends it to his will to create something new. Both a mixture of science and silliness, sometimes the intention comes easily to the observer, other times there is more going on than either the photographer or the viewer will ever understand. Ideally it just feels right, and that’s usually where he lands it, regardless of convention and trend. In addition to photography, Stuart can also be found working in the recording studio and at home in Oakland tending his aquariums, tinkering with electronic gadgets, and brewing beer.
